1930s Tavern Chandelier by Gill Glass #1749

1930s Tavern Chandelier by Gill Glass #1749 - Filament Vintage Lighting

1930s Tavern Chandelier by Gill Glass #1749

Regular price $1,395.00

Gill Glass made this fixture in the 1930s, advertising it for bars, taverns, and tap rooms. Not made in large quantities, it is seldom found, and we've got two! (one still needing restoration). The frame has a new paint finish that woodgrain highlights the castings. New lacquer on the original barrel shades.  At one point we had two of this fixture.  Here, we've shown the first one sold in the home wine cellar of the new happy owner.

18" wide by 31" tall.   Can be shortened by removing chain.

Ships from Seattle.

Items ship from both in Seattle and in Los Angeles.  In either case, some items require shipping in two separate boxes to protect them.

Glass shades are often shipped double boxed and separated from the metal fixture to help prevent damage.

Packing and shipping can sometimes take a few days from the time your order is placed.  We usually ship USPS and UPS ground.

Shipping on your account also possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: HOW CAN I CONTACT YOU?

A:  We prefer contact via email, but if you'd like to call here's our number:  206 819 6042

Q: YOU ARE LISTED IN BOTH LOS ANGELES AND SEATTLE?

A:  We started in Seattle but are now primarily based in Los Angeles.    Items ship from both locations, depending on were it's on display.

Q: DO YOU BUY PARTIAL FIXTURES AND PARTS, OR JUST COMPLETE FIXTURES?

A: Of course we'll take a look at anything you are looking at selling, whether single shades or complete fixtures.  You might have the last piece to a puzzle we need!  It's rare that we're interested in items made after WWII.

Q: DO YOU RESTORE CLIENT'S FIXTURES?  WHAT ABOUT REPAIR?

A:  Yes.  Restoration means different things depending on what each project needs.  Sometimes it's cleaning and rewiring, other times (too often) it's refinishing completely.  Yes, we can repair most things, from a simple rewiring a modern lamp to a plate and polish an antique chandelier.   Cost varies depending on scope of project.
