Antique Wire Mesh Rembrandt Style Shade with Painted Stenciled Red Rose and Green Floral Design on 1920s Painted Gold Floor Lamp #2660

Antique floor lamp from the 1920s with twisted column and decorative urn. It's topped with a vintage wire mesh shade made in the style of those made by Rembrandt Lamp Company, but this one does not seem to be signed. Wire mesh shades were all the rage in the 1920s and 30s, but due to the steel mesh they were made from they are easily damaged by moisture, so are prized by collectors whenever in good condition. This shade is in fair condition, but some old soldered repairs look to have been made with too much heat, and some of the corners are a bit scorched, but overall shade has a nice look when backlit. Two original pull chain sockets light the shade from inside with all new wiring and plug. Shade ships in separate box from lamp to protect it.
