This fixture is unusual in at least that the maker signed their work HERWIG on the inside. But if you know their work you likely notice their hallmarks: button line detail along top and bottom edges, 45 degree divisions (instead of straight) and style of body construction. We got his smart light with multiple thick coats of paint, and completely started over going back to the bare cast iron. The details are deeper and crisper once all the old finish is removed. Next we plated it in real copper, and then did a traditional Verdigris green and brown patina. Slag glass panels are replacements, as the originals had cracks and were covered in multiple coats of paint. While this has a lacquer topcoat allowing it to go indoors or out, if placed outdoors the cast iron base metal will likely begin to rust again, adding to the wonderful colors of the finish.
Over 50” tall by 12” wide. This light has quite a bit of extra chain we can remove to shorten before shipping.
